The demand for staff is at a three-year high, with vacancies accelerating, as highlighted in a recent report from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and professional services group KPMG. In fact permanent placements growth hit a 26-month high last month (June). This is positive news for the job market and hopefully the rise in jobs continues with more opportunities for job seekers throughout the UK.
Following the results of the recent REC report, CV-Library has analysed their own statistics and provided a run-down of the fastest growing job sectors to help you make your next career move. The job board has compared live job figures from Q1 (Jan – Mar) to Q2 (Apr – Jun) 2013.
The job sectors with the most live vacancies have remained the same throughout 2013; Engineering, Education and IT are the top three with Sales just slightly behind. These areas provide candidates with a huge array of career opportunities and with the current speed of technical innovation, Engineering and IT are fantastic sectors to join.
