Senior Building Services Manager (Lifts & Security)
Salary: £66,000-£72,000
Type: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)
Location: Ealing office base – Hybrid working and flexible across London

About the Role
You will provide effective leadership of the Lifts and Security team as part of the Building Services department who are responsible for ensuring the safe operation and statutory compliance of all M&E related equipment and customer safety.
Your team oversee the management of the Passenger & domestic lift contracts and access control equipment including door entry, vehicle gates, automated doors, CCTV and warden call within our residents’ homes and blocks across the A2D property portfolio.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements through effective contract management, accurate reporting, and robust asset data.
You will be tasked with improving contractor performance and have financial oversight of all contracts, ensuring budgets and targets are met through effective monitoring and control of expenditure.
You will lead on the procurement of new contracts where required, followed by effective contract management of those contractors to ensure that all contractual obligations are met and adhered to.
You will support the team to ensure we provide quality homes and places for our customers by exceeding service and regulatory expectations through delivery of the corporate strategies.
More about you
- You will hold a level 5/6 qualification in an M&E related discipline or be able to evidence an extensive M&E background.
- Significant M&E Contract & Project management experience and working with various forms of contracts and experience of managing programmes of work of more than £5m.
- Knowledge of the Building Regulations, compliance standards and able to read and understand technical specifications and drawings.
- Experience of providing effective customer focused services, in an M&E or related maintenance or repair setting.
- Housing experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle required.
