Our Opportunity:
We are seeking to appoint a skilled Client Service Consultant to impart high-quality and personalised customer service within our Showroom located in Edinburgh. You will be well-supported with developing invaluable knowledge on how to take care of our client’s treasured pieces and how best to assist them further by upholding the Laings philosophy to aftercare. Purchasing a precious piece from Laings is only the first stage of its journey. Our customers are provided with our signature luxury service over the lifetime of each piece, ensuring its longevity and that it remains exquisite.
Your main objectives will include:
- Impart consistently an exemplary level of customer service to all clients.
- Contribute to increasing the awareness of our broader Services division, our range of products and services, engaging with new clients and provide existing clients with a deeper understanding of our repairing, bespoke quality servicing processes.
- Champion and communicate the time-honoured skills of our workshops, which include jewellery design, goldsmithing and watchmaking – within our business, showcasing our company assets.
- Deliver customer resolutions and proactively manage a range of customer enquiries and requests, relating to repairs and our product services.
- Training and support will be provided for you to become an expert, empowering you to advise colleagues and customers on the care of precious stones and watches.
- Imperative to the success and streamlining of our services and repairs process is for accurate administration of our internal database system.
Our ideal person we are looking for:
- Will be passionate about providing a consistently high-level customer service.
- Understands client expectations and has excellent communication skills.
- Keen to develop knowledge and hold an enthusiasm for fine jewellery and luxury watches.
- Is well organised and able to demonstrate flexibility with ad hoc requests.
- Will be empathetic with keen listening skills.
- Comfortable and well able to form meaningful connections with our clients, while being sensitive to their jewellery and watch pieces that often hold emotional significance.
Our Edinburgh based, In-store Luxury Service Consultants assist 5 days out of 7, 38.75 hours per week.
