About the role
Our Community Investment five-year plan 2020 – 2025 vision is to reduce social, financial and health inequalities faced by some of our customers and to improve people’s lives and their communities. We will achieve our vision by developing tailored programmes to reduce deprivation, tackle the stigma around social housing and celebrate thriving communities.
The Apprentice Project Assistant is a new and vital role which will support the Community Investment Team’s overall strategy and objectives by working across the teams within Community Investment.
Some Key Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification while contributing to our team’s success. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the monitoring and reporting of various funding pots within Community Investment, including evaluation of applications.
- Supporting bid writing and tender submissions contributing towards Community Investment’s annual fundraising targets, including undertaking research.
- Assisting with the delivery of projects under the direction of the Communities Partners.
- Assisting with post-project and event evaluations with Communities Partners and reporting on areas for improvement.
- Supporting the day-to-day management of centres, including interacting with customers and ensuring the facilities are ready for customers who are using the centres for events and activities.
- Assisting with the production and distribution of publicity materials such as flyers, newsletters, feedback letters etc.
- Working collaboratively with the Communities Assistants to maintain accurate finances, records, and databases for the team.
- Helping to manage customer contact to ensure every contact counts by resolving customer queries.
More About You
- We are seeking individuals who exhibit curiosity, a strong desire for learning, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Educated to at least GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Willingness to undertake professional development including Level 4 in Associate Project Manager within two years, relevant to the client base you will be working with.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Proven ability of working effectively as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to conduct research to gather insights, identify trends, or inform decision-making.
